Music at the Community Church
At The Community Church, music helps everyone share in the spirit of God.
The Testament Band singing “Amazing Grace”
You’ll hear traditional hymns, melodic choir arrangements, children’s pieces, and bell choirs. All are invited to join the choirs. Director of Music, Hazel Eaton, and our Associate Pastor, Peggy Ludlow, welcome you!
The chancel choir sings weekly at the 10:00 am Sunday morning services. It is comprised of men and women, from youth to seniors. The choir rehearses at 8:15 am on Sunday mornings, before the worship service.
This group of wonderful bell ringers truly adds a joyful noise to the sanctuary. Please contact our Director of Music, Hazel Eaton, for more information.
Pastor Peggy gets kids involved in many special music opportunities. There is a place for everyone! Cherub Choir (K-3rd grade) and Gloria and Youth Choir (4th-12th grade), plus Church Musicals and Talent Shows.
Periodically throughout the year and during the summer, we feature special music. We invite talented vocalists and instrumentalists to perform — many of them are in our congregation. Flutes, french horns, trumpets, guitars, violins, sopranos, tenors and basses often add musical life and color to our worship services.
Music: Chancel Choir and Handbell Choir do not rehearse over the summer. If you are interested in sharing your gift of music with the congregation, please talk to Ms. Eaton or Pastor Peggy.
